Strong is OK

My first HIV positive patient got married this past weekend. Her journey was the one that put me on the path to creating TruthAIDS. I just got an email message from her that reminded me what this is all about... being comfortable in your own skin unapologetically. Her email was short and sweet. All women need to learn "strong is ok". My clinic sessions with her were largely about getting to this point. It's a tough lesson to learn for us all. But there is nothing like watching each other grow and become stronger. That is true power. Her wedding brought a group of women inspired by these lessons and she is now going to spearhead the first Bronx-based TruthCircles. How ya like us now!
